Passing of Brother Art Giliberti

Brothers,

We lost a great Knight and friend this month when Art Giliberti died. Art has been a Knight for 67 years. Art was a model Knight, heavily involved with many programs and activities we had going on. He was always there to help and assist. Art was always positive and never had anything negative to say about anybody or anything. A real Catholic gentleman. We will miss Art.

God of all consolation, in Your unending love and mercy for us, You turn the darkness of death into the dawn of new life. Show compassion to Your people in sorrow. Be our refuge and our strength to lift us from the darkness of this grief to peace and joy in Your presence. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

John Van Kooten Memorial Mass

Our Chaplain, Father Manny Lopez, has scheduled a Mass to celebrate what would have been Brother and Sir Knight John Van Kooten’s 100th Birthday on Thursday, August 8, 2024 @ 9:00 AM at Santa Maria del Mar Church in Flagler Beach. Please plan on attending, wearing either your Green Council Shirt or Blue Assembly Shirt. Here is to the memory of Mr. John Van Kooten.

May God Grant Brother and SK John Van Kooten eternal rest and peace.

Happy Father’s Day

Brothers,

Heavenly Father, you entrusted your Son Jesus, the child of Mary, to the care of Joseph, his foster father. Bless all fathers and grandfathers as they care for their families. Give them strength and wisdom, tenderness and patience, give them ability to love in a way that reflects your love. Support them in the work they have to do, protecting those who look to them, as we look to you for love and salvation. Help us to love them in a way that would bring honor to You and them. Bless and heal all those wounded by the imperfections of their fathers and grant an eternal rest to our fathers you have called from this life to yourself, through Jesus Christ Lord.

May we continue to succeed in our role as Fathers.
